Industries related to Chemical, including fertilizers, are spread across the country. India has a good standing globally for this segment, especially for agrichemicals. With GOI identifying this industry as a potential industry to become global leader, a lot of expansion & modernization is ongoing.
As we discussed above, the industries related to Chemicals including Agrichemicals and Fertilizers are spread across the country. Not only there are big govt companies in this segment, but there are lot of major private players also present in this segment.
We are not counting Petrochemicals in this segment. The bigger companies are modernizing their processes and equipment and smaller ones are following them. This industry also comes under hazardous industries. The size of a typical plant is normally smaller than a refinery.
Our core expertise is in understanding customer requirement and designing a tailor-made solution. Our approach is to start with detailed site survey, taking details of existing network / facilities / products and taking details of the current requirement of customer.
We also take details of the compliance requirements of the customer and the industry. This helps us design a solution that will work for the customer and they are comfortable using it.
Many of the products that we deal with are licensed products that can be sold and installed only after getting a license from the regulatory authorities (WPC/DOT.) Additionally, we work in hazardous areas that require a product to meet certain compliances like certification for Intrinsically Safety (PESO, IECEx, ATEX, UL etc.)
Also, within a large geographical area such as refinery or a mine, there are areas that are designated safe or hazardous and a solution is to be designed using all these details. The designed solution should meet safety and regulatory requirements of the industry and certifications for equipment and customer should be secured before starting a project.
Once a project is awarded for two-way radio communication in licensed band, the first job is to take regulatory approvals. While for unlicensed band networks (voice or data) prior license is not required. A two-way radio network can be very simple and comprises of few Portables to be used with probably a Fixed Station that will require minimum of installation.
Most of the projects in Chemical & Fertilizer segment are smaller projects and can be completed without a Repeater. Smaller companies are successfully using license free radios also.
