In Building Coverage

Communication networks are successful when it is available to all the users at most of the places. If it is not available at all required places or if the connectivity is not reliable then the communication network can’t be used reliably and hence can’t be used for Critical Communication requirement.

In Building Coverage

We are here with discussing Voice Networks, specifically, Two-Way Radio Networks. We can provide general coverage at place using repeater(s) at one or multiple locations depending on the size and coverage requirement. However, many a times signals are available generally in most of the area but not inside some rooms or structures. However, it is important to provide the connectivity. Therefore, to overcome the problem we can install Amplifiers. The work of an Amplifier is to take signal from an area where quality signals are available and spread it in signal-less area. One or more amplifiers may be required depending on the size of the area to cover. Also, these are available for both networks with Repeaters (Semi-Duplex) or for repeater less requirements(Simplex.)

Key Highlights

  • Refers to providing coverage at places where it is not available.
  • Mostly used for enhancing Two-Way Radio Coverage.
  • Can be used for Networks with Repeaters or Standalone radio requirements.
  • Simple installation with one Antenna outside where signals are strong and the other antenna where signals are weak.
  • Hardware is designed to be installed in rugged and difficult terrain of Mines and is running successfully across the world.
  • Amplifiers are frequency dependent. Whether the network is Digital or Analog, will not make any difference. It will work in both scenarios without any change.
  • Mainly suitable for covered/closed areas.
