Data Communication is sharing of data between multiple users, devices or networks. When this network media is wireless then it is called Wireless Data Communication. Hardware normally used are Access Points, Backhauls, Point-to-Multipoint networks.
We all have used Ethernet connectivity to connect our computers to office networks or even to modems at homes. However, with advancement in technologies, Wireless Networks have become commonplace. Most of the Home networks are wireless, with all sorts of devices, Laptops, Mobile Phones, Printers, Televisions and even other devices connected wirelessly to the network. Similarly, in offices also Wireless Networks are always present even if Ethernet Network is available. Most users will prefer connecting wirelessly. With capacity of Access Points exceeding 1 GBPS, there are no longer any bottlenecks or slow speeds.
Access Points are only one type of Wireless Data communication. Backhauls or Point-to-Point Links and Point-to-Multipoint networks are common types of Wireless Data Communication networks used for corporate use. Connectivity of remote sites, POPs, Last mile connectivity, Video Surveillance Cameras etc. are common use cases for Wireless Data Communications.
